Lunch at Yabu, The house of katsu

My family often goes to SM Megamall every sunday to attend Mass and have lunch / dinner. Frankly, I know every store that I could be a tour guide I can tell to what floor am i and what shop am i even my eyes are close.

There's something new at this mall, and that is Yabu! believe it or not, not a single hour that this restaurant is with no customer. It's always full! luckily today, they have a vacant for 2 person! Me and my mom tried this for the sake of curiosity.

So ok, their menu is all katsu based food. If you are a die hard fan of katsu meal, then you should eat here!

Fragrant sesame seeds.

Japanese comic / manga on the wall.

Tissue and chopsticks

Since they are house of katsu, the menu contains various kinds of katsu meal whether it is steamed, deep fried, etc. you may choose up to what grams of your katsu. This meal is Rosu Katsu 120g. which costs P355 ($9). I didn't get the premium katsu because it's a whopping P550 pesos ($13). Anyways, The Rosu Katsu was SO GOOD. It's thickl cut, it's so tender and moist inside, the cabbage was refreshing, the RICE WAS PERFECT! it's so white, sticky, obviously it's a premium japanese rice. The miso soup was so subtle unlike any other japanese restaurant that offer tasteless or salty miso soup, Yabu's miso soup is just right. The fruit was horrifying, no taste at all.

Rosu original. It's a katsu don basically. But unlike any other katsu don, theirs is just good. No wonder they are house of Katsu. That's why a lot of people eat here. :)
