Dinner at Min Sok Saeng Deung Sim

It's my older sister's 26th Birthday, and she decided to treat us all for dinner at a korean restaurant in makati. I was sooo excited! I love korean food, but I just had some last week during my visit to Dong Won Garden.

This Korean Restaurant is situated at Kalayaan Ave - Bel Air (the one situated near Som's, Rockwell)

I find the mood and the aura of the restaurant very authentic and very Korean! just like what i watch in the television.

Lunch at Dong-Won Garden (Re-Visit)

I really like Korean Food, not only it is so delicious and close to my liking. Korean Food is something new in the Philippines unlike Italian, American, Spanish, etc.

What I like about Dong Won is it's authenticity, and it's great tasting food. My friends were suppose to eat at Army Navy but the restaurant was so jam packed and the line to the counter will take us forever.

By the way, I'm using my Pentax X-5 to take the pictures and apparently the pictures look awesome!

Also, all the appetizers were free! so we were munching our lives out.

Plating

Something like kimchi but it's not red and just a little spicy.

Kimchi!!! =)

Dinner at Dong Won Garden

It's my friend's birthday and officer promotion treat! My friend, Mic has turned 25 and have been promoted as trading officer in our Treasury group in metrobank. He's very generous in treating us to various restaurants!

I posted before on my blog on how i was so delighted with korean food, and I was so excited to try another authentic restaurant. Dong Won is at the corner of makati ave. and jupiter st.

Dong Won Garden is better that Kaya (express) well, I haven't eaten yet at Kaya Restaurant in jupiter which offers authentic korean cuisine but eating at dong won, I was able to grasp an authentic Korean food.

Sorry if I wasn't able to get the names of the food, I was so busy taking picture the foods and it was hard to pronounce the names of the food. :)

Korean Beef Stew

Korean Beef Stew: The soup was sooooooo delicious although it was a little salty which is a no no for my kidneys but, it's worth eating! the meat was so soft and very tasty.

This dish is a pancake like food, if you eat at dong won, you have to try this

Bibimbap! I posted on my previous entry about how i love bibimbap, and Dong Won's version is very very yummy! different from Kaya's but it's a delight. :)

Dumplings: the dumplings was ok just average dumplings you get from good restaurants around the manila.

Pork Slices that is wrapped in lettuce and dip in a salty-oily sauce. i love the freshness of the lettuce and the low salt taste of the pork meat.

It was like eating in a buffet with all the appetizers and food orders!

there was a very very cute and chubby korean baby at the other side of our room.

Aw! letter from us!

Kimchi

It was certainly a pleasure eating at Dong Won Garden. sorry if i wasn't able to get all the names of the food but eating numerous appetizers can make you full already. Try Dong Won! :)

Lunch at Kaya (Korean Restaurant)

I always wonder what would that taste of those korean actors/actress eat in the movies and series in which I'm dying to try.

I'm so in love with korean food right now, sorry japanese food but we're cool off right now. I always pass by to this restaurant and ignore it most of the time due to lack of eating customers and of course food prices.

surprisingly it's very cheap for it's good taste quality.

Kimchi (Spicy radish): I love the crisp of the radish tht goes with the spiciness of it.

Chulpan Sewu (Grilled Garlic Shrimps): I love the freshness of the shirmp, the tastiness and sweetness of the sauce. the garlic grilled sauce was a cherry on top.

Yook Gye Jang (Spicy Beef and Vegetable Noodle Soup) For those who love a little spicy beef noodle soup then this is your dish. The dish wasn't very spicy at all but, the spiciness adds flavor and excitement to the dish. The noodles were good.

Bibimbap (Rice topped with assorted vegetable, and egg in a bowl) this was the highlight of my lunch. You have to mix all the ingredients with the toppings and add a little spicy paste for best tasting. The rice was very very good and sticky, the vegetables was fresh especially the mushroom! the mushroom was very very tasty and soft. The dish was so refreshing and something new.

spicy paste

Kimbap (rice seaweed roll with pickled radish, carrot, spina egg, and ground beef): It was like sushi, but different in taste. You can tell upon eating the differenceof japanese sushi with kimbap.

Bulgogi (grilled marinated sirloin strips) The taste is similar with "Sukiyaki Japanese Dish" though bulgogi is grilled.

Love it.
